nose bleeds.

This is exactly where we sat for the Aerosmith/ Cheap Trick concert on Thursday night.  We loved every minute of this night out with a few of our besties... oh how we needed it.  Such funny memorable moments including a dead battery at the end of the night...way way...way past all our bedtimes.

girls rule. boys drool.

Photobucket
Looking forward to a little girl time over the next few days with this ball of emotions... as well as my cousin Katie from Chicago.

The boys are heading out into the wilderness...not sure where exactly...which is why I opted out of the trip. Dusan threw out the name of the place "kennedy woods"...or was it "kennedy meadows"... or perhaps "kennedy valley"...all i know is it was "kennedy something or other".

I googled to see where it was. (He told me 3 1/2 hour drive.)
According to Mapquest, (which I consider to be a pretty solid resource)
Its actually 7 1/2 hours... reason numero two why we aren't going.

On the girl's agenda:
  • finish reading "Beezus and Ramona"
  • go see "Beezus & Ramona" in the theater
  • a trip to the fabric store
  • pedicures
  • possible cousin sleepover
  • and tackling the 693 photos I took at the wedding reception last night. Which i am guesstimating will be quite the undertaking.
And before we know it we'll blink and they'll be back. The boys that is.

team ancich

For Dusan's birthday the kids and I surprised him with a do-it-yourself basketball court stencil kit.  In addition, we had concrete paint mixed in the perfect shade of Boston Celtics green.  He loved the gift and couldn't wait to get to painting.

The stencil came in 6 long strips made from the thinnest paper you can imagine.

One space at a time, Hunter and Dusan rolled their way around the free throw lines.

Dusan's parents contributed this 10 foot bench to the gift which we knew would need a facelift too.

And for the finishing touch, I used my Cricut to create a TEAM ANCICH stencil for center court.  Wah lah!  Our backyard is ready for some serious ballin'...

Irvine Lake Mud Run

Dusan enjoyed his mud run so much, that I decided as a gift to him for Father's Day, I would register the 5 of us for one.  The course was slightly under 3 miles.  Hills, fences, stacks of hay, army-crawling under baracades, and hopping through tires.  It was a blast.

My parents stayed with the kids while we did our run.

The "floamtastic" tent felt so good.
Photobucket
It was rigorous, but nevertheless a fun event to complete together.
Photobucket
The kids participated in the puddle jumper event, which was the tail end of the adult race.  The got to experience all the fun obstacles of the course.

All the unwanted shoes and banana peels.

Today, I am feeling muscles I didn't know I had.  But I really can't wait for next year.  I loved that our whole family could take part in this together.
